Position: Static M&E Engineer

Location: Canary Wharf

Salary: £45-50k

Our client is a major service provider in London with over 50 years of success and continued growth. Due to recent success, they are seeking a Static M&E Engineer to join their ever expanding District Heating Division. This division operates across London, managing a range of blue-chip portfolios. The work is a mixture of planned maintenance and repair works as well as reactive works from our call-out service. You will be working across the Canary Wharf Complex.

Working across a wide range of mechanical and electrical assets, the Static M&E Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and optimising building systems to ensure efficient operation.

Mechanical duties include AHUs, HIUs, pumps, inverters, cooling towers, adiabatic coolers, and pipework, requiring a solid working knowledge of all M&E and HVAC systems.

Electrical duties involve BMS monitoring, meter checks, fault finding.

Static M&E Engineer Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical & Electrical engineering within the building services sector
  • Hold 18th edition
  • Have Mechanical qualifications
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, Plant rooms and Commercial Electrical systems

Static M&E Engineer Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
  • 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
  • 23 days plus bank rising with service
  • 5-2x overtime rates – engineers often 10-15k additional per annum
  • 1-8 call out rota – looking to grow to 1-10
